"If you don't know Jack, you don't know Jack": Jack Hrubik
I have over 35 years of communications experience with the US Army, other DOD branches, and other government agencies. I have served as the technical authority of major operational information systems and have a comprehensive knowledge of complex communication projects.
My awards and commendations include Legion of Merit, Bronze Star with Oak Leaf Cluster (OLC), Meritorious Service Medal, Air Medal with 21 OLCs' and numerous other awards.
I was honored by the U.S. Army Signal Regiment at a ceremony that took place at the Armed Force Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA) Fort Gordon Conference on December 2 in Augusta, GA. Signal Commander Major General Janet E.A. Hicks inducted me into the Regiment and spoke of my lifetime achievements during my 39-year service to the U.S. Army chiefly as a premier technician and advisor to my commanders and a mentor to Signal warrant officers in the commands that I served.
A Vietnam Veteran, I was specifically cited for management of the Defense Communications Agency's Automatic Digital Network Center at a threshold of 99.5 percent, an accomplishment never previously achieved by any European Automated Switch Center (ASC). During this period, the ASC won Autodin Switch of the Year and runner-up twice, as well as numerous 5th Signal Command and maintenance awards.
From March 1993 until my retirement in April 1999, I was the Senior Military Technical Advisor to the U.S. Army Signal Command. In this position, I created and managed the Technical Quality Assessment, Assistant Chief of Staff G3, in the U.S. Army Signal Command, known now as NETCOM.
I was the only Signal Warrant Officer on the first CW5 promotion list. I served as the Officer-In-Charge of two of the Army's largest communications facilities and re-established the quality assurance program for Army Signal Command.
